El Chapo is a crime television receiver series, co-produced by Netflix and Univision, nigh the life of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán.[ane] The series premiered on Apr 23, 2022 on Univision before airing on Netflix worldwide.[2] It stars Marco de la O as the title character.[3]

The serial recounts the ancestry of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán in 1985, when he was a low-level member of the Guadalajara Dare, his rise to ability as head of the Sinaloa Cartel, and his downfall.

On May 12, 2017, Univision confirmed that the series would exist renewed for a second flavor. Season 2 premiered on September 17, 2017.[four]

Netflix released the first season, comprising nine episodes, on June 16, 2017.[5] The second flavour was released on December xv, 2017.[6]

The 3rd season premiered on July 9, 2022 on Univision, and on July 27, 2022 on Netflix.[7]
